This is my first post in 2017 and I’m excited to go back to blogging (although still part-time) now, when I have a two-week old baby at home! If you follow me on Instagram and/ or Facebook, you know that we got an early Christmas gift: or son Alexander was born on December 22, 2 weeks before the term. He is a healthy, calm and cute baby, and I feel blessed for having him.
I didn’t actually think that I would recover so fast and be able to blog even for a few hours per day but here I am, writing a blog post about my favorite green smoothie, while my baby is sleeping. I can’t be grateful enough for having my husband beside me, helping me and supporting me through the whole pregnancy and even more now, when our son is born.

Many of us are in the detoxing mood after holidays, myself included. As a breastfeeding mom, I have to get enough nutrients every day, so fruit and vegetables are my primary sources of nutrition. How To Make Delicious Kale Smoothie
I added banana to this kale smoothie for the creamy consistency, peanut butter and maple syrup for a little sweet touch, lemon juice for a tart note and almond milk to thin it all up. Just blend all the ingredients in a blender (I use Philips Avance Collection Glass Jar Smoothie), add a bit of ice or water to adjust the consistency and a pinch of salt to balance the taste. Enjoy it for breakfast or any time you feel like you are getting hungry.

Delicious Kale Smoothie
- 70 grams or 1 cup fresh kale
- 1 banana
- 1 tablespoon unsweetened peanut butter
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey for a non-vegan version
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 230 ml or 1 cup almond milk or any other nut milk
- a pinch of sea salt
- water or ice optional
